This sweet family contacted me hoping to have their session down by the lakefront, with views of our beautiful skyline in the photos. Of course, Mother Nature had other plans for us! The day of the session was WINDY! Of course, any Chicagoan knows that if it’s windy in the neighborhoods then down by the lakefront is usually gusty as all heck, so we had to reconsider our plans. Luckily, Humboldt Park is always gorgeous (and a little more sheltered), so we headed over there on a blustery fall afternoon for this fun session.

Mister A was unfazed by the chilly wind, and we spent an hour or so laughing and chasing him all over the park. I swear, if I only shot 1.5 – 2 year olds I wouldn’t have to worry about exercising! Whenever I have a toddler on the books I know I’m going to get quite the workout chasing them around, and Mister A didn’t disappoint! Toddlers are always so much fun to photograph — they are so busy and excited by everything, and give me and their parents lots to laugh at.
